The two main components of the FoneAway lockable Mobile Phone Pouch System, are the Lockable Phone Pouch, and the Pouch Unlockers.

Without an Unlocker, the phone owner would not be able to release their phone from the locked pouch when leaving the phone restricted area, so it is obviously an essential component, and choosing the right Unlocker is critical to the successful implementation of the pouch system.  

What is a FoneAway Pouch Unlocker

The basic component of a good Unlocker like the FoneAway unit, is a high Gauss rated Super Power Neodinium Magnet, which releases the magnetic lock on the Phone Pouch, allowing the phone to be removed.

Unfortunately many of the Unlockers currently on sale, feature a magnet with a Gauss rating of less than 12,000, which is why, although less expensive than a unit with a high Gauss level, so many deliver poor performance, which can lead to long queues forming at Unlocking stations during peak use times. 

Unlocker Mountings and Options

FoneAway Unlockers are supplied with fixings and are available in three styles:

• The Hand-held Wand Unlocker is a high power magnet mounted on a comfortable handle.
• The Desk or Wall Mount Unlocker, features the magnet mounted onto a steel plate, which is designed to be screwed or bolted to a desk or wall.
• The LockBox Unlocker features the magnet mounted in a lockable steel box.

The choice of Unlocker Station styles, means that there will be an Unlocker suitable for your specific needs and environment.

Which type of Unlocker would be best for you?

Hand Held

The versatile Hand-held Wand Unlocker can be instantly moved between locations, making it ideal for ad-hoc use such as unlocking a pouch during the normal school, or business day.

Hand held units offer a simple and practical solution for use in emergency situations, such as in a school environment, a student leaving suddenly to seek medical aid. It can also be used to assist at a hotspot, should a queue develop at any of the static Unlocker Stations.

Wall or Desk Mount

The Wall or Desk Mount Unlocker is installed as a static Unlocking Station, but as the magnet is always accessible, these units are best installed in a lockable room or monitored location to prevent unauthorised pouch unlocking activity.

LockBox

The LockBox Unlocker prevents access to the magnet outside of designated times, which may mean that it is only unlocked and the magnet made available at the end of the working or school day for instance. A padlock is used to lock the Box to prevent access during access restriction times. Insight Security are pleased to offer customer unique special keyed alike padlock suites for users purchasing multiple LockBoxes, and the FoneAway boxes feature a special padlock hanging within the box which ensures that the padlock is not lost or misplaced when the box is open.
